Forklift / Pedestrian Proximity: people and trucks too close

What it does

The vision model sees both the person and the truck in frame, and this check flags when they're too close while the truck is moving. There are no tags on people, no sensors on trucks, and no calibration walk to set up. It works from what the camera already sees.

The near misses you never hear about

Incidents get reported. Near misses mostly don't, which is exactly where this check earns its keep: it turns the close calls into a reviewable record, and the record is where the pattern lives, the same blind corner, the same shift, the same route taken as a shortcut.

Alert now, pattern later

Alerts go out on screen, by email, or by JSON webhook for an intervention in the moment, something like "person walking close behind a reversing forklift, yard camera." The clips also accumulate for the toolbox talk, where showing the actual footage lands harder than a poster ever does, and the Daily Summary report check carries the day's events for anyone who wasn't watching live.

Where it runs and what it costs

Enabled per camera, on the aisles, docks and yard cameras where trucks and people share space. It runs on RTSP feeds, uploaded files, video URLs, or a phone camera set up on a temporary route. Cloud is the default, with a fully on-prem appliance mode for sites where footage can't leave the building. The Store shows this check with a live monthly figure computed from your own cameras and usage, as "+$X/mo at your usage", and the subscription underneath is based on your own usage with a $9 a month floor, arithmetic shown at signup. How is this different from tags and truck-mounted proximity sensors?

Wearables alarm in the cab in the moment and need everyone tagged. This works from the cameras already on site, nothing on the person or the truck, and it gives you reviewable footage of every event afterwards. Some sites reasonably run both.

Can it see near misses that already happened?

Yes. Run it over recorded footage and last month's near misses become clips you can look through before you change anything.

Does it know my site's traffic rules?

It flags people close to moving forklifts on the cameras you enable it on. It doesn't know your traffic management plan, though where you point the check should follow one.
