Fall / Slip Detection: know the moment someone goes down
Fall / Slip Detection is a Svid check that raises an alert when someone goes down on camera at your site, a slip in the loading bay, a fall from a step ladder, a collapse in an aisle nobody's walking down. The alert carries what was seen and a link to the moment, so help goes to the right place first time.
What it does
Svid describes every frame it watches, and Fall / Slip Detection is a paid check over those descriptions that looks for a person going down and not getting straight back up. It treats that as critical: an on-screen alert, an email, and a JSON webhook if a control room or radio system should hear it too. Alerting checks judge a window of recent frames, so a fall is read as a sequence of events, not a snapshot.
The fall nobody sees
Most workplace falls happen where nobody's looking, back-of-house, early shifts, the far end of the racking. The camera was already watching; this makes it say something.

What the alert looks like

One name, two checks
Fall / Slip Detection and Slip Hazard Detection get confused for good reason, but they answer different questions. Fall / Slip Detection, this page, flags the fall itself, someone has gone down. Slip Hazard Detection flags the wet floor or the spill before anyone falls. One is an event, the other is a condition; one is after, the other is before. Sites that want both usually run both.

Fall / Slip Detection is enabled per camera, on the areas where a fall would otherwise go unseen. It works on RTSP feeds, uploaded files, and a live phone camera for a temporary works area. Cloud mode is the default; a fully on-prem appliance mode exists where footage can't leave the site.
